Snow Gum

A beautiful tree for the urban garden with multi-stemmed white trunk and handsome, dense canopy.

A Snow Gum will provide the small garden with the benefits of a eucalypt canopy, where insect gleaning and nectivorous birds can forage, without requiring a large block of land. Trees can be coppiced to produce multi-stems. Snow Gums have an extraordinarily wide distribution, from the Victorian alpine region to south-eastern South Australia. There is a small population in Mount Alexander Shire in the Elphinstone area. Our indigenous subspecies is E. pauciflora subsp. pauciflora
