A fast growing tree for quick screening and restoration. Refuge and nesting for birds and insects; food for seed & insect eating birds; host plant for mistletoes and butterfly larvae. Can sucker when roots are damaged. Useful life can be up to 50 years, but is often shortened by borer attack.
