Downy Grevillea

A small, open shrub with downy leaves. Charming, when decked with clusters of red “cats claw” flowers in winter and spring.

An important nectar source for honeyeaters in the winter cold; particularly appreciated by Eastern Spinebill. This is a variable species, with some forms having cream to apricot coloured flowers. Avoid waterlogged soils and fertilisers containing phosphorous. May be short-lived in cultivation.
