A small, open shrub with purple flowers and small, aromatic leaves.
Patience is required for this slow growing plant, but well worth the wait when purple flowers appear in late-spring. Slow growth rates also mean protection from breakage is required. Grows naturally on shallow soils in dry forests, woodlands and shrublands. Would suit a rockery or grassland-style garden. Will thrive best in moist soils with good drainage. Prune to maintain density. Provides nectar and pollen for native bees and small, beneficial wasps.
