Narrow-leaf Bitter Pea

A small shrub with strong vertical form, due to its linear phyllodes (like leaves) and upright stems. Sprays of orange and red pea-flowers are beautiful in spring. Seed pods are a pretty feature when flowering has finished.

Pollinators including native bees and hoverflies will feed on nectar and pollen. Slow growing and tricky to maintain in the urban garden, but well worth the effort.
