Windmill Grass

A low growing, tufted perennial grass with windmill-like seedheads and bluish colour. This is a summer-active grass, well adapted to tolerating summer heat and dry conditions and resting dormant in winter.

The windmills provide a characterful feature for any perennial border or grassland garden and a valuable source of food for seed eating birds such as the Red-browed Finch. Can be grown in a native lawn if planted in a low-traffic area.
